From the Fourth of July

I took a lot of pictures on the Fourth of July.
The show was spectacular!
But, how on earth do others get the colors to stay in their pictures of fireworks?
Only one has any color and it was pretty blurry.
This one doesn't have any color, but it sure looks like a flower, doesn't it.
If you know, please tell me how to keep the color in.
